Another unusual species that Dr. Harry and Karl Koch brought to the Zoo from their 1940 expedition was the Zoo’s first pygmy hippo, who was dubbed Tiny. Little was known about this hippo species at the time, and from the looks of it, Tiny had a few things to tell her keeper, Tex McRory.
