A puppy and kitten petting station at child height allowed for hands-on animal interaction. The animals could retreat into the back if desired, or come out to the front to be petted, where attendants were on hand to show children how to handle them. The unique, donut-shaped spider-monkey exhibit on the right had built-in rings and rods the monkeys could use to climb and swing with their hands and tails, demonstrating their species' skills for visitors.
