Visitors were certainly seeing spots when three more giraffes took up residence on the mesa, in another new moated exhibit next door to Waffles and Dolly. Young Uganda giraffes Topper, a male, and Freckles and Checkers, two females, spent two weeks aboard the S.S. President Monroe (above) on their way to San Diego.
