New Era 1967 - 1976

The southern white rhino herd brought to the Wild Animal Park from South Africa had the birth of its first calf on October 11, 1972—a male that was named Zibulo, meaning “first fruits of man or beast.” His arrival was cause for tremendous celebration, at the Park and among those involved in rhino conservation.
