As a place for active, hands-on, in-person adventure, the Wild Animal Park continued to grow and add new experiences for all ages. One was the unique and beautiful Conservation Carousel, with custom-made carousel animals depicting rare and endangered species. Where else could kids choose a panda, African hunting dog, or rhino as their carousel animal? Another new experience in 2005 was Shiley Cheetah Run, a fantastic opportunity to be close enough to watch the dust fly as one of the Park’s cheetah ambassadors demonstrated their amazing ability to run at up to 70 miles per hour. It was the most common response: “Wow!”
