2008

In 2008, the San Diego Zoo was asked to provide its expertise in animal care, exhibits, construction, and zoo operations to the Al Ain Zoo, for the expansion of their wildlife park and to help set up conservation programs. Executive Director Doug Myers (center), Board President Berit Durler (left), and Zoo Architecture Director David Rice (in back) traveled to Al Ain to meet with HH Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan (right) and the Al Ain Zoo developers and sign the official collaboration agreement.
