On May 14, 2016, San Diego Zoo Global welcomed more than 15,000 San Diegans to the Centennial Community Celebration extravaganza, held in Balboa Park. The musical and theatrical production at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion featured spectacular puppets created just for the event, including Prince the lion—11 feet tall, 15 feet long, and operated by 6 performers. His roar was the crescendo of the magical show. It was a night to remember!
