The 100th facility launch of the San Diego Zoo Kids channel on August 9, 2017, at Children’s Minnesota and Ronald McDonald House Charities^® Upper Midwest was a major milestone for this heartwarming project. San Diego Zoo Kids is a closed-circuit channel that is installed in children’s hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses, and offers family-friendly, animal-oriented stories from San Diego Zoo Global and local zoos in participating cities. The channel is made available on TV monitors in every patient room and in waiting areas, giving children and their families engaging stories and something to smile about when they need it most.
