With Doug Myers retiring, a new CEO/President for SDZG was selected by the organization’s board of trustees: Paul A. Baribault. In their announcement, the board highlighted Paul’s commitment to conservation and his extensive leadership experience working for The Walt Disney Studios. Paul served as Vice-chair of The Jane Goodall Institute, and in his work with Disneynature, he pioneered the development of conservation projects tied to films, collaborating with leading nonprofits to plant millions of trees and protect millions of acres of wildlife habitat across the globe. Paul took over in his new role on November 1, 2019; and one of his first assignments was the exciting opportunity to open the new platypus habitat at the Safari Park!
