As the snake wriggles: It took 4 keepers to handle the 17-foot serpent as they brought it from the Zoo's Reptile House out to a stage on Reptile Mesa for the TV show filming. At the head of the line—and the head of the snake—is principal keeper Tom Schultz (who would later go on to become the Zoo's curator of reptiles and general curator); followed by keeper Alan Burrows, senior keeper Jerry Staedeli, and keeper Frank Martin.
