The first male-female pair of clouded leopards at the Zoo, Toui and Joy, arrived in November 1974. They were in quarantine until January 1975, when they made the move to their new exhibit. They were curious but also wary and took their time cautiously exploring the new environment. They were the fourth and fifth clouded leopards that had lived at the Zoo, but the others before them had all been males, so the Zoo staff had breeding hopes for these two.
