This giant anteater only weighed 2 pounds 4 ounces when she was born on February 26, 1980, the first of this species born at the San Diego Zoo. The first-time mother wasn't able to care for her, so she was taken to the Children's Zoo nursery to be hand raised. The attendants then discovered that a baby anteater has to keep its tongue out of the way in order to nurse—and this little one solved the problem by wrapping the long sticky tongue around the attendant's finger while sucking on the bottle!
