New Branding Identity for San Diego Zoo Global: By 2010, it was abundantly clear that the Zoological Society of San Diego was a conservation organization working on a global scale. The board of trustees, executive team, and staff representatives worked with a team of consultants to consider what that meant to the organization, its branding, and its facilities. After a lengthy process and careful consideration, the board of trustees approved a rebranding initiative for the organization, resulting in the names: San Diego Zoo Global, San Diego Zoo, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, and San Diego Zoo Institute for Conservation Research.
